Coric was a clone trooper sergeant of Torrent Company, having served under Jedi General Anakin Skywalker and Clone Captain Rex during the Clone Wars, in battles such as Christophsis. During his time in the Clone Wars, Coric made friends with his captain and was notable for his sense of humor in battle.
