Solomon Grundy is a super strong zombie with no memory of his past. He later joined the Legion of Doom. When Lex Luthor went missing after a botched scheme, only Grundy and Bizarro remained at the Hall of Doom but were unsure what to do next. Suddenly, a Luthor from the 31st Century arrived and initiated a new plan to destroy the Justice League of America. Grundy went into the past with Cheetah, Toyman and Bizarro and posed as Kal-El's father and inventor the the space crib the Kent's found him in. Back in the present, Superman and the rest of the League disappeared. Unopposed, Grundy rampaged through Washington, D.C. and hurled the Washington Monument into the Lincoln Memorial.
