Princess Aiya () is a young highborn woman. She is the only child and daughter of Ogigayatsu Hiiragi Danjo, the Kantō Kanrei during the events of Hanyō no Yashahime.
History[]
As the Yōkai taijiya have came, she heard from her father that a demon named Kirinmaru is going to plan for the Degenerate Age, and she laughed off that they still have Hisui and Setsuna as they'll take down Kirinmaru.
Personality[]
Being born in a highborn samurai family, Princess Aiya has all traits of a noble - she is arrogant, snobbish and rude. Additionally, she is deceitful, manipulating anyone with no remorse. She appears to heavily enjoy watching people fight each other regardless of whether or not they might die in the process, while also hinting a bit of sadism. She is also extremely petty and vengeful, even for the smallest and most ridiculous of reasons, as shown from her wanting to make Setsuna and the demon slayers (even though they were not involved with what happened) pay for getting a drip of mud on her robes.
A common trait, she is most recognizable for is her haughty/high-pitched laugh and masking her true self behind a silly and rather non-serious facade.
Physical description[]
Aiya has fair skin, brown-orange eyes, waist-length dark brown hair that is tied by two yellow hair ties at the front and into a low loose ponytail by a white ribbon at the back, and pink lipstick.
Outfit[]
Aiya wears a red coat that contains yellow flowers with black accents, green diamonds and light blue waves with a pink and yellow inside, a pink kimono with vermillion, orange and yellow stripes, and a green obi sash, which she wants to keep clean at all costs. She also wears a white hadajuban, and common tabi (socks).
As a pheasant in disguise, she wears a topaz and salmon kosode with a navy sash tied in a ribbon at the front, a white hadajuban, a light blue headkerchief that appears to be tied in the katsura-tsutsumi style, common tabi (socks), and straw sandals. She doesn’t wear her pink lipstick on this disguise.
Relationships[]
She immediately develops a crush on the teenage demon slayer right after he catches her from falling from the tentacles of the octopus-demon that had caught her.
