Katie is the Asian core member of the Ladybugs in "Not Particularly Desperate Housewives". The Ladybugs are a group of women with "a fast lane lifestyle and slow motion walk" according to Francine. The group seems to be led byChristie White. Francine tries to join the group but is rebuffed until a misunderstanding causes them to believe Francine is having an affair with the valet. They reveal to Francine the true nature of their organization: they cheat on their husbands. Francine receives a ladybug brooch and tries to maintain the fiction of her affair with the valet.
Katie is always followed by an Asian musical cue, even when she farts in the episode.
Roger and Steve pass Katie with her Ladybugs pin in Chinatown in "Pulling Double Booty".
