Michael Edward Palin, CBE (born 5 May 1943) is an English comedian, actor, writer and television presenter best known for being one of the members of the comedy group Monty Python and for his travel documentaries. He appeared as the "It's", a bedraggled, gray-bearded man who regularly appeared on Monty Python's Flying Circus. He normally appeared at the top of the programme, uttering a single word "It's" leading immediately into the show's animated title sequence.
