On Lothal, Morad Sumar ran a farm and was an old friend of Ezra Bridger's parents. Following the rise of the Galactic Empire, he struggled to keep his land from Imperial hands, refusing from selling them. When the Empire had him and his family arrested, Ezra and the Lasan Honor Guardsman Zeb Orrelios, who had stolen an Imperial TIE fighter, came to their rescue.
