Trogowogs, sometimes diminutively called Trogs, are a race of small magical creatures that live in a realm deep inside the Earth. They have had many names over the centuries, and were known as Gremlins during World War II

Physical appearance[]

Trogowogs are small, heavyset creatures with bright yellow skin, save for their pale yellow bellies. They have long, lobeless, pointed ears with orange undersides. Their eyes are round, red and pupiless, set low above a wide mouth housing a wide, pink tongue, and a large round chin. They have two skinny arms with spikes on their elbows, and hands each with three fingers and an opposable thumb. Their two skinny legs end with small, three-toed feet. Background information[]

  • This is their second animated appearance. The Trogowogs were created for the Lego DC Comics Super Heroes: Justice League – Gotham City Breakout animated film. They were a once-peaceful, though primitive, underground civilization who were coerced into following Bane. Their appearance was more human-like than in Young Justice.
  • The Trogowogs were designed by Jerome Moore, who was not familiar with their Lego version at the time. He created four concepts. The final design was not Moore or the producers' initial favourite, but model supervisor Dou Hong swayed the producers.
  • The Trogowogs are voiced by Yuri Lowenthal.
